Proximity Marketing

Proximity marketing is distribution of advertising content directly on mobile phone of the users located within a particular place.

Bluetooth technology is the solution most commonly used in this field, that because there aren't any cost associated twith the communication and for the large diffusion of devices supporting the radio communication protocol.

The solution is composed of one or more Bluetooth access-points (hot-spots) that deliver multimedia content to all mobile devices in the area. The message is not intrusive, beacuse the user is asked for the authorization.

There are a lot of usages of Proximity Marketing like Malls, Cafés and restaurants, Banks, Concerts, Mass-transit terminals, Bookshops.

The bluetooth lottery choses between the mobile phones a winner to deliver coupon or tickets.
